ID Verification Privacy Statement
This statement complements Arbolus' general Privacy policy and persona's privacy policy

Identity verification
Numerous Clients that use the Arbolus platform have introduced, or are introducing new requirements to verify Experts’ identity in order to reduce instances of fraud and misrepresentation.
These requirements are likely to be implemented across all expert networks shortly. In order to meet these requirements Arbolus has partnered with Persona - an industry leader in secure ID verification.
These new requirements will soon prevent us from engaging any experts who have not verified their identity directly with Arbolus via the Persona link.
LinkedIn verification is no longer being recognised.
Your identity verification data
To verify your identity we will process the following data:
a selfie photo(s) of you;
your workplace email address;
a digital copy of your Government Issued Identity Document and associated data; and
device data during verification, including operating system and IP address data.
How we handle and protect your data
In most circumstances no Arbolus employees will have access or see your ID data.
We will retain a permanent record of:
your full legal name;
the status of your ID verification as approved or rejected; and
basic metadata processed during verification.
Only employees who have received tailored data privacy training will be provided access to ID data.
Your ID verification data will:
be irreversibly erased or redacted within 6 months from the date of approval;
never be provided to any Client or any other third party; and
never be transferred to any other Arbolus system or database.
Persona provides the technology to verify ID. You can review their privacy policy here.
If you are a resident of the EU, UK, or EEA, only Arbolus employees based within those regions will have the required permissions to access or review ID data.
